Lean Transformation Program (LTP)

for Norway’s leading environmental services provider to boost operational efficiency by applying Lean management principles to the seven largest processing plants. Main focus was on standardizing processes and stabilizing interfaces, while training people in the new way of working. As a result, flow of materials and sorting quality improved, while downtimes and inventory levels were successfully reduced. The program transformed one pilot plant from worst to best, delivering 82% reduction in inventory, 31% improved labor productivity (tons per man-hour), at 88% reduced lead time, from 2 months to 5 days. Best practices were transferred to a newly constructed site for offshore services.
